Under the joint effort between FBC GLOBAL and Fudan University, the 17th FuDan Foreign Language Festival raised the curtain on March 26th. Professor Lu Gusun, chief editor of the prestigious English-Chinese Dictionary (First Edition) and “Immortal Lu”, as he is known to his students, addressed the opening ceremony. In the opening talk titled "English for English's Own Sake: Pushing the Envelope", the language veteran explored his extensive learning and embellished an already scintillating speech with witty citations. With applause roaring, the Foreign Language Festival officially opened.
