Fudan University’s 20th Foreign Language Festival opened with a Food and Garden Party on April 19, 2016. Following that, there was a poem writing contest that lasted an entire month. Fudan University students expressed their passion for poetry and the school, and composed various poems that rhymed beautifully, using their excellent foreign language skills. The film screening brought to life numerous movies from home and abroad, where students enjoyed the exotic atmosphere and experienced lives of people in different countries. In addition to highlighting some of the splendid moments and reviewing the numerous energetic clips, the annual drama A Story of Stairs was also staged during the closing ceremony on May 23.
The festival’s grand finale was the final round of Fudan University’s First Bilingual Compere Contest held on May 29. After four rounds of extensive competition, ten charming and eloquent finalists won the first, second, third prizes along with the Charismatic Compere and Excellent Compere awards, respectively. The prizes provided by FBC GLOBAL were hardcover books such as A Song of Ice and Fire Complete Series (original edition) and the Complete Works of Lu Yao.
